Weekly Guest Posts

As part of our new focus on community-building and communication with our visitors, we’d like to open the floor to all of you with a new weekly guest post program. Whether you’re an experienced author or just some Hunter with an axe to grind or a story to tell, we’d like to hear from you and share what you have to say with the rest of the community. There’s a lot to be gained in the way of insight from reading about how others play and experience the game and …

The Last Word on QQ

This post is going to be the end of the discussion (at least as posts go, the comments section is fair game). Rather than reply to each comment on my previous post within the comments section, I wanted to dedicate a separate post to this for a couple of reasons. One, because I appreciated the time each and every one of you took to reply–especially you first-time commenters–and wanted others to recognize your efforts as well, because you deserve it. Two, because I wanted to clarify my position and tie …

In Which Lass Pisses and Moans

There’s going to be nothing of educational value in this post, so most of you will probably skip it. And I wouldn’t blame you in the slightest. This is going to be precisely the type of post that, if it were written by anyone else and appeared in my feed reader, I would “Mark as Read” without a second thought. Most of you will no doubt do the same. For those of you who do actually read this post, my apologies.

THM Newsletter Issue 2 Today

Just a quick note to let folks know that our second issue of The Hunter’s Mark Newsletter is going out today, so if you haven’t already, head over to the newsletter page to check out a quick overview of what you’ll find in each issue and subscribe. This month’s issue covers many of the changes in the latest content patch, as well as some strategy guides for the new instances, guides to the new gear available and other goodies.

If You Could Run THM For a Day

I asked this question on Twitter a while back, but didn’t get much feedback (aside from a couple nice back-pats that, while appreciated, didn’t tell me much). I realize that’s likely my own fault. While our Twitter account does have a respectable following, it’s certainly not where our primary audience hangs out. (And you’re totally missing out on some completely random gems there, people. Hint, hint.) Anyway, I thought I’d throw the question out there again to see what I get back.

2009 Year in Review

I was tagged for this by Nochecazador, and who am I to refuse? So here you have it, my 2009 Year in Review. However, I’ve chosen to dress my version of this meme up a bit with pointless video. After all, why use text when video is so much more time consuming? Bon appetit.

WoW Hunters Wiki

I’ve recently begun working on a side project whose time I think has definitely come: the WoW Hunters Wiki. Similar sites have been around for quite a long time but, unfortunately, don’t seem to have been updated since the early days of The Burning Crusade and much of the information available on those sites is extremely out-dated. This is something I’d thought about doing numerous times over the past few years, but never quite got around to and now seems to be about as good a time as any to …
