Spending Your First Hunter Talent Points

The end of an expansion is always a common time for players to be leveling alts, and of course there are always those Johnny-Come-Lately players that join the game long after the party’s already well under way that could benefit from a bit of direction. We’ve received questions recently about where to spend your first talent points and far be it from us to leave you guys hanging!

Dungeon Finder Bingo

Cruce on the Scarlet Crusade-US server shared a really great idea on the official forums recently: LFG Bingo. The intent of the game was to have a little fun farming Emblems while grinding your teeth through bad PuG after bad PuG, and I thought the idea was a lot of fun and an extremely creative way to make the best of what could potentially be a very bad situation.

A Quick Note on Ninja Looting

It’s extremely rare for me to encounter a ninja. In fact, I can count on one hand the number of ninjas I’ve personally encountered in the five years I’ve been playing WoW. I know some people have dealt with them fairly regularly, but despite the amount of PuGing I do, I’ve been pretty lucky in that regard. This morning, I encountered my first ninja using the new LFG. Heck, (s)he was the first ninja I’ve encountered in years.

Leveling in LFG: The Problem With Uldaman

I’ve been using the random dungeon feature on the new Looking For Group system pretty frequently on my alts recently, and I’ve noticed a problem cropping up in 95% of the Uldaman groups I’ve run. It’s time to get the word out about this problem so I don’t have to keep bouncing my head off my desk every time someone screws it up.

Hunter Gear for Leveling (51-60)

You’re in the last levels before heading to Outland and your options for upgrades are ever-increasing as you go. These levels will afford you a lot of opportunities to visit the last instances of “vanilla” WoW along with access to a lot of interesting quest chains with nice rewards.

Hunter Gear for Leveling (41-50)

Now that you’ve made the jump into the 40s, it’s time to start phasing out those Leather pieces and replacing them with Mail items. Just remember: don’t sacrifice stats just to go up an armor class. If you’re wearing a Leather item that has better stats on it, don’t feel obligated to upgrade to Mail just because it’s Mail. Better Mail pieces will come along soon enough, so don’t be afraid to hold on to those last Leather pieces if you need to.

Hunter Gear for Leveling (31-40)

As you move up in levels, you’ll have more talent choices available to you and all new instances and items to choose from. Our previous two articles discussed gear for levels 10-20 and 21-30. Today, we’ll talk about items for levels 31-40. These are the last levels you’ll be seeking primarily Leather items, since you’ll be training in Mail armor at level 40 and you can start phasing remaining Leather pieces out.
