I came across a very interesting (and entertaining) read on the official forums this morning. It was interesting enough that a Blue poster commented on it, which was, in fact, how it drew my attention in the first place. Tallgeez (presumably a posting alt–and kudos for the Gundam Wing homage) from the Lightninghoof server had this to say about the Argent Tournament in a recent post on the General Discussion forum:
ARGENT TOURNAMENT – A GRAND, COLOSSAL FAILURE
ICE CROWN – A shocking report from a whistleblower within the Argent Crusade has …

No sooner do I say “You’ll seldom find more than one Hunter in a 5man group” than Blizzard decides to correct this assumption. I logged onto my Paladin last night planning to do a few more Trial of the Champion runs for my other trinket. I grouped up with a healer friend of mine and queue’d us up. When we zoned into the instance, we were met with not one, not two, but three Hunters in our group. As soon as I saw all that green in my party unit …

I’m a bit of an alt-aholic. I don’t talk much about my alts here because that’s not what you all come here to read about, but I do play my alts frequently. One of those alts is a level 80 Protection Paladin that I’ve been trying to gear up recently. One of the things I like about playing my alts is that it gives me a chance to see how other Hunters behave in groups, since I don’t get that chance when playing my own Hunter (you’ll seldom find more …

In our last post, we talked about a player’s right to choose their own spec depending on what they hope to get out of this game. What a lot of people got out of the article was that it’s okay to be casual (and it is), but what people don’t realize sometimes is that it’s also okay to be hardcore. Because much of the player community is casual, it’s easy to develop a mob mentality towards those “gearscore-toting elitist jerkwads”, especially when one of them just told you that you’re …

There’s been some heated discussion recently in the Hunter community pertaining to the viability or acceptability of playing–or more specifically, raiding–as a Beast Mastery Hunter which was reignited recently as the result of the last Scattered Shots column. Many felt the article was a bit condescending (and as a proud Night Elf, I’m inclined to agree), but rather than focus on the personal agenda behind the article, I’d rather focus on the issue it presents: Is it acceptable to raid as a Beast Mastery Hunter? The answer is, of course: …

For those who may not have heard the news yet, Ensidia got the world first Lich King kill for the 25-man version. (Blood Legion got the world first 10-man kill.) While the fact that Icecrown Citadel has already been cleared in it’s entirety within two days of the last wing being made available is somewhat suspect in terms of how that reflects on the quality and complexity of the encounters therein, what’s particularly noteworthy in this case is that directly following their world first, Ensidia received a temporary 72-Hour ban …

This is a guest post from Talsin, GM of <Starsong Tribe> Emerald Dream-US.
Setting the Scene
It was only a Saronite node…
Flying high above Sholazar Basin, mining was fresh and exciting. Perhaps it would have been rather boring for some, but not only had I just maxed out mining (Favoring it enough to drop 450 Herbalism), but it was my first log in that day. You know the kind? The first time logging in, even if only to check your mail, can seem to give you an extra boost of unobstructed enthusiasm. …
