I asked this question on Twitter a while back, but didn’t get much feedback (aside from a couple nice back-pats that, while appreciated, didn’t tell me much). I realize that’s likely my own fault. While our Twitter account does have a respectable following, it’s certainly not where our primary audience hangs out. (And you’re totally missing out on some completely random gems there, people. Hint, hint.) Anyway, I thought I’d throw the question out there again to see what I get back.
If you could run THM for a day, what would you change?
- What would you do differently?
- What would you talk about?
- What features would you add?
- What features would you get rid of?
- What kind of content would you want to see more of?
- What kind of content would you want to see less of?
If you were the Big Boss Lady/Man, how would you run THM? Would you try to get more guest posts in here? Would you favor shorter posts over longer ones? Would you post more gear or instance guides? Would you post more personal stories? Would you post more screenshots? Have some contests? Change the way the site looks? Post more reader emails? Talk about breaking game news?
If you could take over the reins of the site tomorrow, I want to know what you’d do with that kind of power.
I’m usually pretty good at anticipating the needs of my visitors, but I’m no mind reader and the best way for me to improve the site is for all of you to tell me what you’re looking for. I may not always be able to deliver, but rest assured I’ll try like hell.
And yes, I know the site’s had a lot of downtime issues lately and that’s probably #1 on many people’s list of what they’d change about the site. Believe me, I’ve been working on it consistently all this time. I just haven’t found a long-term solution yet. (Although it’s been doing well the past couple days…. cross your fingers.)
So barring downtime fixage, I ask all of you: if you could run THM for a day, what would you do?
Light up the comments, people. You know you want to.

I’d try to post an updated gear enchantment/geming guide, and I’d include PvP in there as well. There are some good one’s out there, but they are hard to find, and actually pretty outdated.

We actually do have gem and enchant guides listed in the sidebar, but we could probably do more.
We do lack solid PvP guides. We have a couple, but nothing too significant; mostly because I know very little about Hunter PvP and haven’t been able to find an expert on the subject willing to post about it.
Good suggestions.

Yeah, I actually use them often, but a few of the enchants need to be updated with the proper mats. It’s not hard to mouse over it and see what they are, but it would just make it that much more helpful if it reflected the current mats required.
I know when searching for things like that, I usually look at the date it was posted to decide if it’s current info.

Oh, are the mats outdated? I honestly haven’t looked too closely at the post since shortly after release since those things usually don’t change. (Keyword being usually, lol.)
I’ll go back and take a look. Good catch.

I’d just turn it into my own blog… *is not helpful*
