With BlizzCon behind us and a plethora of announcements regarding the upcoming expansion, Cataclysm, there’s been a whole lot of discussion around the blogosphere lately. Today, let’s take a look at some of the discussion taking place around the Hunter community.

The Angry Butterfly – How to be a Good Raiding Grunt (as told by a former Raid Leader)

This post covers the qualities every raid leader looks for in a good recruit: preparedness, communication, Ventrilo etiquette, knowing when and where to express disagreements, situational awareness and role performance. If you’ve considered taking up the raiding banner, or even if you’re an old hand at beating down bosses, this article is a must-read.

The Angry Butterfly – The Kalimdor of My Heart

This post is related to Cataclysm, but I felt deserved it’s own separate mention. It talks about the impending redesign of Azeroth as we know it for the release of Cataclysm, and addresses something I think many veteran players are struggling with over this announcement: the concern about not being able to revisit zones and locations we love in the old world. The article, more like a personal scrapbook, takes us through the parts of Azeroth that Negathle has enjoyed the most. It serves as a poignant reminder to go back and visit all the places in Azeroth you’re fond of now, while you still can.
