In a comment on one of our previous posts, Wildcat0695 was kind enough to remind me of a couple resources that a lot of folks probably don’t know about, but should: HunterLoot.com and Zeherah’s DPS Analyzer. For those of you who are unfamiliar with these two wonderful resources, allow me to introduce you.
For those of you who have used Cheeky’s (now Shandara’s) Hunter DPS Spreadsheet from ElitistJerks, Zeherah’s DPS Analyzer will be mostly familiar, so let’s start there.
Zeherah’s DPS Analyzer
Zeherah’s DPS Analyzer is, essentially, a web-based version of Shandara’s Spreadsheet. You load your character data from the Armory, adjust your shot rotation and buffs (or load automated settings), and the tool will calculate your overall DPS and provide a breakdown of relevant data.
This tool is especially handy for folks that don’t have Excel (or OpenOffice) and can’t use Shandara’s spreadsheet, or for folks that are concerned about having to continually download updated versions of DPS spreadsheets. The interface is also a lot more user-friendly than any spreadsheets I’ve used.
Hunter Loot
For anyone who’s played a Rogue or visited ShadowPanther.net, Hunter Loot will be immediately familiar. You can view generic gear priority listings sorted by slot, or you can load in your character data from the Armory to get more personalized results.
What Hunter Loot does is prioritize gear upgrades for you based on your spec, and displays a break-down of how upgrades are chosen. This tool is invaluable for min-maxers who don’t want to fiddle with spreadsheets endlessly. Hunter Loot also looks at gems and enchants and suggests replacements if necessary. You can also manually adjust the stat weights used to generate your prioritized list of upgrades to suit your own personal needs.
Add these two great sites to your bookmarks, folks.

@Hearne — That’s something you’ll need to report to the developer of the software. We just post links to it, we don’t have any involvement in technical support for those services.
