Two Years!

lassirraWith the celebration of Less QQ, More Pew Pew’s first anniversary, Drotara reminded me that my own anniversary was coming up. Matter of fact, it came and went without my even realizing it!

THM has seen two years of blogging come and go. A lot has changed here along that journey (and I don’t just mean the layouts!), and I hope you’ve all enjoyed the ride.

Special Thanks

As is the custom with events such as these, I’d like to take some time to thank all the folks that have been here for the long haul and have supported me through praise and criticism alike.

There are always certain names that I see in the comments that are familiar to me, and I always look forward to seeing what these special people have to say. They’re always insightful and supportive, and it’s a blessing to me that these folks have stuck with me for as long as they have. Some have even gone on to write their own success stories through blogs of their own.

First, I’d like to thank Healarity. You always brighten my day each time you comment, and I love hearing about your adventures. Your unflagging support has been a big part of what’s kept me motivated for so long.

I’d like to thank Pike, who was a consistent commenter early on, offering praise and asking questions to help me flesh out articles and went on to create her own unique and helpful blog. Loronar is also a name many of you may recognize from his own blog. He’s been a great source of inspiration for me through his comments and insights, and I’m glad he’s stuck with me for so long.

I’d like to thank Matticus, who has provided a wealth of development ideas and suggestions for bettering my blog, as well as giving me a new home in-game so that I could enjoy my WoW experience the way I always wanted to.

I’d like to thank Skarlarth, my former GM and a good friend. He’s been a great source of support for me, both here and in-game, and I’m fortunate to know someone as awesome as him.

I’d like to thank Luke for being kind enough to host THM most recently, and for providing insane amounts of technical and personal support. He’s been everything I could wish for in a friend and more.

I’d like to thank all the bloggers at Blog Azeroth. I may not stay in touch as much as I’d like (you should all know by now, I fail at being social), but all of you are special and important to me in your own ways.

I’d like to thank all the folks that have emailed me with questions, comments, criticisms and praise over the past two years. I always love seeing a new message from a visitor in my inbox, and the conversations I’ve had with all of you have been very special to me. The fact that all of you have taken time out of your day to write to a perfect stranger means a lot, and I hope I’ve been able to help you even in a small way. In particular, I’ve loved hearing from Ashley, Tyberiuss, Arkelia, Romferedir, Frank, Seithon and many others.

Thanks to Drotara for not only reminding me that it was THM’s anniversary, but also for being my partner in crime for the Lock and Load podcast, and producing his own quality Hunter blog which I always love visiting. Go visit him and give the man a pat on the back for all his hard work for the Hunter community, he deserves it. And he deserves cookies for putting up with me!

Like an Oscar speech, I’ll have to wrap this up quickly before they give me The Hook. I get uncomfortable when things get all mushy like this, but I did want to take some time to thank all the special people that have been so supportive and have meant so much to me over the past two years. It’s not often that I get the chance to really thank all of you, and I’m sure I could keep gushing like this for quite a while, so I’ll cut myself short before I go too far.

So, I’ll wrap this up with the same response I give every person who has emailed me thanking me for all the work I’ve done on this site:

Thank you! You’re the reason I do this at all, and hearing from all of you brightens my day. Your support means a lot to me, whether you realize it or not.

It’s true, your blog was THE FIRST World of Warcraft blog that I started reading. Read it “cover-to-cover” too. BRK was second. =P

Thank you for being either directly or indirectly making me the hunter and blogger I am today and congrats!!

Congratulations! You’re a legend. :) BRK may have inspired me to start a blog, but you’re the one who taught me that blogs can be a wonderful teaching tool.

But *real* men cry, right? RIGHT?!

If I knew you looked forward to my comments so much I would’ve posted in every single one!
From this day forth.. I shall.

Congrats, Lass! You’re still the blogger I visit/stalk numerous times a day. Just count yourself lucky I can’t play on US realms. No one wants a British groupie.

    Thanks, everyone! :D

@Drazmor — I’m a habitual lurker on most of the sites I visit, so don’t feel too bad. :)

@Carnage — It’s nice to see that folks enjoy the not-so-serious posts as well as the informative ones. :D

@Pike — I remember. :) It’s been a long, crazy ride since then, huh? For both of us! :D

@Loronar — I’m glad that that’s something you could take away from here and build into your own adventure. Just thinking about that gives me warm fuzzies. :D

@Heal — Real men do cry, I promise! And even if they don’t, well, it can be our little secret! ;) British groupies are the best kind, though! (Look at Beattle Mania!) :P

@Zepp — I’m usually there once a week, give or take, though not for very long. My Priest and Rogue (and the rest of my alts) are all still there. :)

I’m personally more of a fan of the 2 year “mark” =P

I actually skipped my 1 year blogversary…just let it slide by without a word. Perhaps when it’s 2 years I will feel more of a sense of accomplishment.

I always read your blog though I rarely comment these days anywhere (been trying to recently though).

Now that I’m back with the “new” Snugglekins, I’ll have to read up on your hunterings even more often!
