Raiding… Fun?! No way! Ya way…

This weekend, I actually spent some time raiding on Lass. It had been a while (I’ve mostly been raiding on my priest for the past couple months), and I was getting bored again. So, I went to ZA, as well as a TE run for Void Reaver and Solarian, and also managed to hit up a heroic! (MgT, if you’re curious.)

The ZA run was pretty successful. There were, of course, a few drops I’d been looking for, but no such luck. We downed the first four bosses, so all that remained when all was said and done were the Hexlord and Zul’jin. Some other time, perhaps.

One thing that I particularly enjoyed about the ZA run was running into this on the way to Jan’alai:

A group of trolls standing around throwing a leather ball back and forth between them, playing “Keep Away” with the dragonhawk. My commentary in raid chat when this little game was discovered went something like:

Well, they can play keep away all they want. We’ll just play “Smear the Queer”.

(Which was in reference to having to deal with the Scouts that pat through the area, and summon reinforcements if not killed quickly enough.)
Politically incorrect color commentary aside, I actually really enjoy coming across little quirks like that in-game.

So, despite the fact that all I had to show for my troubles in ZA were a few badges, the rest of the weekend was at least a bit more productive.

In heroic MgT, I happened to pick up this little beauty, which made me extremely happy:

Which was a pretty nice upgrade from my [item]Demon Stalker Harness[/item], to put it lightly. Upon seeing it drop, I believe my reaction over Vent went something like:

Oh sweet merciful Jesus, it’s beautiful!

I was happy.

Although, I’ve been too lazy to put +6 Stats on it so far…

Then, on Sunday, I went to The Eye with TCE. As I mentioned, we downed Void Reaver and Solarian before calling it quits for the night. Void Reaver did drop the hunter T5 shoulder token. Unfortunately, I was too low on the Suicide Kings rankings to get it. I cried a little inside.

But, fortunately, I didn’t walk away entirely empty-handed. I did manage to pick up the [item]Vambraces of Ending[/item] off Solarian. (Which, again, I’ve been too lazy to gem or enchant, so they’re still sitting in my bags at the moment…) I would have rather had him drop the [item]Star-Strider Boots[/item], if you want the absolute truth, but beggars can’t be choosers.

And in completely unrelated news, my rogue got her leatherworking up to 370 this weekend. 5 points to go! She also picked up her Elixir Mastery and Karazhan key quests.

I’ve been told that 2.4.3 will likely be released today, though I haven’t done any fact-checking on that assertion. (Mostly because I don’t really care a whole lot when it comes out.) The one thing I am looking forward to when the patch does come out, though, are getting my druid, paladin and possibly my warrior their first ground mounts. (Good-bye, epic flying mount fund…) That will give me a total of 6 mounted characters, and only 2 other characters waiting in the wings to get there, both of which are only 9 levels away, which shouldn’t take long.
