About The Hunter’s Mark (THM)

The Hunter’s Mark, as a blog, has been around since December of 2006. It originally started on a sub-domain of a private site centered around web design, as Lassirra explored combining several interests: gaming, web design, and writing. As the blog grew in scope and readership, it switched from the original CuteNews software it had been built on to a more robust WordPress build.

As the site grew in popularity, and server performance was distinctly lacking, THM moved to it’s own domain, taking with it all previous entries made on the old domain (and with the old software).

On March 9, 2009, three new authors were added to the THM roster as winners of the THM Hunter Island author contest: Gildor, Dervisch and Imjorman. On April 7, 2009 another new author was added to the team: Aerislan, as Lassirra stepped down as primary content author for the site. Lassirra continues to remain active in the development of THM behind the scenes and still participates regularly on the THM Forums.

About the Authors

Lassirra Lassirra, a former Hunter columnist for WoW Insider and current Content Editor for The Azeroth Advisor,  was the original brains behind The Hunter’s Mark and continues to play an active role in the continued development and maintenance of the site and forums. She played a Night Elf Hunter as her main character from March 2005 until March 2009 when she made the switch to playing her Human Paladin as her primary character. Lassirra continues to stay abreast of current Hunter class changes and trends while spending the majority of her time these days enjoying other aspects of the game and updating her other blog, Antherwina’s Corner (named after her Night Elf Priest which she raided with part-time during The Burning Crusade). Lassirra can also be found on Twitter.
atkallen1 Atkallen, also known as Serneum on the forums (and elsewhere around the web), joined The Hunter’s Mark team on May 12, 2009 and is the newest addition to our roster of Hunter experts. Atkallen has the distinction of being the first, and only, member of the Horde to write for THM on a regular basis! His initial discussion of Black Arrow and Lock and Load has lit a fire under the thearycrafting machine here at THM, providing the Hunter community with much food for thought.

Atkallen can also be found on Twitter.

Previous authors for The Hunter’s Mark which are no longer active contributors to the site include: Gildor, Aerislan, Imjorman, Dervisch, Sabiba, Qwikshot and Gwolf.
