If you’ve set foot in Northrend, you’ve no doubt encountered a number of new factions already. Blizzard has delivered on their promise of making faction grinding much easier in Wrath–purchase a faction tabard at Friendly to wear it into any dungeon to gain reputation with that faction. But, which factions should you be gaining rep with, and why? Let’s take a look!

The Argent Crusade

The Argent Crusade Quartermaster, Veteran Crusader Aliocha Segard, can be found in Icecrown.

Frenzyheart Tribe

The Frenzyheart Tribe Quartermaster can be found in Sholazar Basin.

The Oracles

The Oracles Quartermaster, Geen, can be found in Sholazar Basin.

Note: You must choose either the Frenzyheart Tribe or The Oracles. You cannot gain rep with both.

Kirin Tor

The Kirin Tor Quartermaster, Archmage Alvareaux, can be found in Dalaran.

The Kalu’ak

The Kalu’ak Quartermasters, Sairuk and Tanaika, can be found in Dragonblight and Howling Fjord.

Note: For fellow anglers out there, The Kalu’ak also have a fishing poll available at Exalted that you won’t want to miss.

The Sons of Hodir

The Sons of Hodir Quartermaster, Lillehoff, can be found in The Storm Peaks.

The Wyrmrest Accord

The Wyrmrest Accord Quartermaster, Cielstrasza, is located in Dragonblight.

Don’t forget to pick up your Tabards at Friendly, and equip them any time you enter a dungeon in Northrend to start building your reputation!

Actually, you can gain rep with both Frenzyheart and Oracles – just not at the same time.

They have it set up so you can switch though, much easier than switching Aldor/Scryer, by giving you a quest to switch, and several dailies for each faction.

In fact there is an achievement in the system for getting exalted with both factions – called Mercenary of Sholazar. I’m assuming they don’t mean exalted at the same time, but in succession.

And it might be worth it to try – at Exalted the Oracles give a nice +crit trinket (Oracle Talisman of Ablution) and the Frenzyheart give a nice +haste trinket (Frenzyheart Insignia of Fury).

Thanks for compiling the list Lassira!
