8 Things for Hunters to Look Forward to in Wrath

With all the news circulating about the upcoming expansion, it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle. Here’s a list of 8 things we, as Hunters, will have to look forward to when Wrath of the Lich King is finally released.

1. New Foods

By now, we should all know what cooking can do for us. Wrath will be no different! We’re going to see a ton of new buff foods coming our way, and some of the recipes already hinted at include:

Cooking has been a recent addition to the Beta, so new recipes are being added all the time and current recipes are being re-tuned for proper effectiveness. Hopefully we’ll see some new Pet Foods added soon!

2. New Elixirs/Flasks

Like Cooking, Alchemy will see some wonderful new additions as well. You’ll want to add these new elixirs and flasks to your raid consumables check-list once the expansion comes out:

More elixirs are being added, but these are certainly a good start!

3. New Gems

Epic gems, schmepic gems! The new uncommon gems already in the Beta put the epic gems we know and ogle at to shame. Here’s a few that are particularly lovely for those of the hunter persuasion:

Red:

Yellow:

Blue:

Purple:

Orange:

Green:

Meta:

Whew! That’s a lot of gems! (Especially the orange ones!) This is only a brief taste of the gems coming to us in Wrath, and these already blow our current gems out of the water. I can’t wait!

4. New Glyphs

Hunters are going to be seeing a lot of great things coming from the professions we’re already familiar with in Wrath. Inscription, the brand new profession being introduced in the next expansion, will be no different. While some folks are already nay-saying some of the new glyphs already in the system, there are still some interesting ones to pick from. Hopefully Blizzard will keep the hits coming and we’ll see some even more useful ones very soon.

Here’s a few that are already in the Beta:

5. New Talents

I’ve already talked about some of the new talents coming to us in Wrath, but here’s a quick list of what we’ll have ahead of us:

Beast Mastery:

Marksmanship:

Survival:

6. New Abilities

As with the release of The Burning Crusade, each class will be seeing the addition of a few new trained abilities as they level through Northrend and Hunters will be no different. Here are some of the new abilities slated for Hunters in Wrath:

7. New Pets

With the new Beast Mastery talent, BM Hunters will be able to train all sorts of special pets that weren’t available to us in the past. These “exotic” pets will only be available to those Hunters that spec into it.

Of course, there are several new pets available to those not of the BM persuasion as well:

8. New Gear

We all recall the release of Burning Crusade and the jokes circulating through General chat in Hellfire Peninsula as people replaced hard-earned epics with quest greens. We all ogled at the new raid gear as we prepared ourselves for the 10 and 25-man raid setups. What new dungeon and raid pieces will we have to look forward to as we progress through Northrend?

Utgarde Keep (Level 70-72)

The Nexus (Level 71-73)

Azjol-Nerub (Level 71-73)

Drak’Tharon Keep (Level 74-76)

Ulduar: Halls of Stone (Level 77-79)

Caverns of Time: Old Stratholme (Level 80 5man)

Unfortunately, this appears to cover all the data we have on instance drops thus far (at least that would be of interest to Hunters), but more data is being collected all the time. At least this provides us with a brief preview of what we’ll have to look forward to from the instances of Northrend.

This list ended up being a little bit longer than I had intended, but there’s so much new content coming to us in the upcoming expansion and almost all of it is noteworthy. It’s certainly a decent carrot on a string, isn’t it? Have you pre-ordered your copy of Wrath of the Lich King yet?

Enjoyed the post. Looking forward to allot of this in the next expansion. But I guess I’m sorta already there being in Beta. Other thing to look forward to is more pet slots :)

Hopefully you maybe keep this post updated as well as has lots of good refrence info. I’ll probably link it on my blog for refrencing for my Hunter alt.

Galohearts last blog post..WotLK Beta: The Weekend

Did I read that right??….Hunter’s are going to be able to stealth???….couple that with Track Stealth and Bear Trap….Horde Rogues in the Battlefields on my server beware!!

@thesniper - I think they removed camouflage now, they felt it was treading on rogues toes too much.

shame, i was looking forward to that more than most of these changes. sneaking up on things, dropping a snake trap and running away :P would have been a blast.

ah well :)

Yeah, they took camouflage away from us. Tho just to counter the sheer overpowerness of death knights, I have to hold onto the hope that Blizzard will give it back in a future patch.
