I hopped onto my priest last night for a bit, to check her mail and things like that, before logging over to Lass for a jaunt into ZA (if you’re curious, we got the first four bosses down and the first two chests, with a few attempts at Hexlord before folks started getting tired). While I was on my priest, I spent some time chatting with the folks in TK and catching up, since it had been a while since I’d spoken to many of them.
I can’t quite remember how we got on the subject, but one of my friends there, Lyd, made a rather devilish suggestion that I took to heart and ran with:
The rest of the conversation went like this:

(I blurred out mention of a specific rogue that I have a long-standing love-hate relationship with. I like to tease him. It’s funny.
)
So, I’ll be receiving 10g in the mail from Lyd upon completion of my mission. The stipulation was that I would wear all the defias pieces, and whatever pieces of my regular gear that the defias set didn’t fill. I would get the defias pieces appropriately enchanted. Also, the “SS or it didn’t happen” stipulation is in place as well, so I’ll need to make sure I take screenshots of my shenanigans.
If my aged computer sees fit to cooperate with me, I’ll attempt to fraps my adventures, including the adventure into Deadmines to collect my contraband. I’m also going to attempt to record the Vent session when my little prank takes place, so folks will be able to fully enjoy the reactions I get.
My plan is to wait until such time as we’re doing a 10man raid that I know a certain rogue (who shall remain nameless) will be present for, as he’s my real target. I’ll enter the raid in my “new upgrades” as if nothing were amiss, and raid as I normally would, until such time as my prank is discovered. (I may even post a WWS report for the run in my fancy get-up.)
I can’t wait.

LOL. Sounds like something I would do. If someone was willing to part with 10 big ones that is.
Can’t wait to see it Lass
I can read the fuzzy names
Heal — I’d probably do it without the bribe, but it does sweeten the pot.
Cranky — Lol, I didn’t try very hard, did I?
(I’m perfectly willing to field angry emails from outted guildies
)
Speaking from the experience of trying to farm the entire set for when I get my bike in WotLK I think doing a 10 man raid would be easier then getting that damn chest piece.. so good luck!
Lass,
That is pure win. I will match Lyd’s payout.
BTW we still need to do our Brewfest BG with Skar
Skar and Co.
Oh my gosh, that’s so epic. Must have screenshots when it happens!
Pikes last blog post..This is Silver Hand
I would imagine, that since you posted this beforehand, your ‘joke’ won’t work since **** will be watching for it . . .

You do realize that the raid leader of 99% of your 10 man raids reads this blog, right?
Please don’t do it in ZA.
Oh, and yeah. I can read all the fuzzy names, too.
Skar — Done deal! (And yes! Brewfest BG fo sho!)
Pike — Oh, there will be!
J — Pretty sure the rogue who shall not be named doesn’t even know THM exists. If he does, I’d be very surprised if he visited.
Luke — Yeah, I know. But I figured you’d be down for a goof on the rogue who shall not be named.
As to the names, I thought about cranking up the blur a bit more, but decided I didn’t care a whole heck of a lot, and would’ve been more than happy to field the angry PMs from guildies.
(Besides, Rykk knows she’s more than welcome to beat my ass for it if need be and I wouldn’t hold it against her.)
Waiting for Rykk to chime in…
Not only did I bookmark your site for it’s content, but I’m totally going to keep checking to see the outcome on this prank!
@Morrison Hopefully you won’t be disappointed.
Hahahaha. That sounds great. It is a shame that in WoW you kinda have to do this sort of thing to “make your own fun.” Raiding is fun, but it gets old. Some endgame gameplay variety is sorely needed, but I don’t see it coming from WotLK.

Cambioss last blog post..If it ain’t broke, you better not fix it.
@Cambios – I’m actually really looking forward to raiding in WotLK. I’m very anxious to see how the new 10/25-man dynamic will end up working. But, that aside, the “make your own fun” thing could be said of any game. After you’ve played the same game for three years, of course it’s bound to feel like just more of the same ol’ same ol’.
I can’t wait…
